Test Analyst - Calypso Trading & Risk Management

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Test Analyst with expertise in the Calypso Trading & Risk Management Platform to join a significant financial services project based in Sydney. This contract opportunity involves validating and ensuring the quality of enhancements in a complex trading and post-trade technology space across Front, Middle, and Back Office modules.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct functional, system, integration, and end-to-end testing for multiple Calypso modules.
• Develop, update, and execute detailed test plans, cases, and scripts derived from business and functional requirements.
• Validate trade lifecycle workflows spanning Front Office to Back Office operations.
• Test software enhancements, regulatory updates, platform upgrades, and routine change requests.
• Support various testing phases including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production validations.
• Identify, reproduce, document, and communicate defects collaborating closely with development teams until resolution.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation across interlinked systems.
• Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to guarantee clear, testable, and traceable requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

• Proven track record as a Test Analyst, Senior Test Analyst, or QA Analyst within Financial or Capital Markets.
• Strong practical experience in testing on the Calypso platform.
• Deep understanding of the entire trade lifecycle from execution through settlement.
• Hands-on experience testing Front Office, Middle Office, or Back Office business functions.
• Competence in producing comprehensive test documentation and defect management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience working within Agile development frameworks.
