Temporary Full-Time Labourer

Overview

The Town of Peace River Community Service Department is seeking a diligent and proactive individual to fill the role of Temporary Full-Time Labourer at the Baytex Energy Centre. This role focuses on maintaining the daily operational standards of the centre ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate ice resurfacing equipment to maintain the ice surface quality.
• Manage garbage and recycling collection and disposal efficiently.
• Perform janitorial duties to keep the facility clean and sanitary.
• Conduct snow removal operations to maintain safe access around the centre.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Prior experience with ice resurfacer machinery (e.g., Zamboni) is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Holding a Level 1 Arena Operators Certificate is considered an asset.
• Strong self-motivation with the ability to interact effectively and courteously with the public.
• Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software as needed.
• Works cooperatively within a team environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evening shifts as scheduled.

Employment Details

• This is a full-time, temporary position with shift work totaling 40 hours per week.
• Employment period runs immediately until April 9, 2027.
• Compensation is set at $25.33 per hour.
