Position Overview: Level 1 IT Technician
This role serves as the initial point of contact for users requiring IT assistance. Responsibilities include ensuring the proper functioning of technology equipment, workstations, and IT tools, while delivering efficient service. Supported by the IT team, the technician will engage in installation, configuration, troubleshooting of equipment, employee onboarding, and support of technological environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
- Assemble, set up, and replace workstations.
- Provide frontline IT support to users.
- Handle installation, configuration, and updates of organization-approved software.
- Install, replace, and relocate IT hardware such as monitors, scanners, and peripherals.
- Diagnose and resolve printer and other peripheral equipment issues.
- Configure employee mobile devices, including Android and iOS platforms.
- Maintain and support conference room technology, including Microsoft Teams Rooms.
Qualifications
- Holds DEP or DEC diploma in an IT-related program.
- Strong problem-solving skills and technical diagnostic ability.
- Demonstrates autonomy, thoroughness, and organizational skills in task execution.
- Exhibits excellent customer service orientation and professional communication.
- Fluent oral and written English required.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is mandatory due to interactions with internal and external stakeholders across North America and internationally.
