Role Overview
The Technical Analyst is responsible for ensuring the availability and stability of Crown Melbourne’s technology infrastructure. This role involves responding promptly to incidents, monitoring system health, and diagnosing technical issues across various domains, including networks, applications, servers, mobile devices, and customer-facing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering frontline technical support and continuous monitoring of IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting and escalating technical incidents related to networks, Wi-Fi, servers, storage solutions, VMware environments, Active Directory/Entra ID setups, mobile devices, and customer technologies.
- Maintaining accurate records for incidents, problems, and changes, and actively participating in response to high-priority incidents.
- Developing and updating runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for recurring issues and assisting in Level 2 documentation improvements based on trends.
- Collaborating hands-on in daily IT operations tasks, fostering a unified team approach.
- Ensuring effective communication with internal teams and customers, conducting thorough shift handovers, and keeping operational documentation current.
- Supporting system updates and upgrades through adherence to strict change control protocols and involvement in project activities.
- Creating and maintaining detailed technical support procedures and infrastructure documentation.
- Building and sustaining strong relationships with IT teams, business units, and vendors to facilitate timely problem resolution.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Aruba and Cisco network switches, VMware infrastructure, and Checkpoint or Palo Alto firewalls.
- Strong understanding of network routing and switching, including hands-on experience managing BGP configurations.
- Experience operating within structured IT environments, preferably with familiarity of ITIL frameworks (ITIL Foundation certification is advantageous).
- Formal tertiary education in Information Technology.
- Willingness and availability for after-hours and weekend support during critical incidents.
- CCNP certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, maintaining composure and focus under pressure.
- Permanent and unrestricted right to work in Australia.
