Tanks Mechanical Supervisor

Overview

Arkios is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor specialized in LNG storage tanks to join a significant long-term energy project in Hamburg, Germany. This role involves overseeing the mechanical construction, integrity, and commissioning of large LNG tanks over a period of three years.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee EPC contractors throughout the construction phase of LNG tanks.
• Ensure all work adheres to strict quality, engineering, and safety standards.
• Track construction progress and maintain alignment with the project timeline.
• Evaluate mechanical documentation and technical specifications to confirm compliance.
• Provide support during commissioning and startup operations.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering teams and other stakeholders.
• Maintain adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and legal regulations.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Approximately 15 years of experience in mechanical supervision within large industrial project environments.
• Demonstrated expertise with LNG tanks or comparable storage facilities.
• Profound understanding of welding processes, non-destructive testing (NDT), and mechanical construction duties.
• Knowledgeable in international engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficient in English; German language skills are considered a plus.
