Role Overview
This position is a high-impact internal hiring leadership role where you will shape talent strategy, guide hiring decisions, and develop long-term candidate connections for a growing US business. You will work closely with the Ireland headquarters, business leaders, and outside partners to support hiring priorities and help the organization scale over time.
For an experienced agency recruiter, this is a chance to move closer to the business, work directly with senior decision-makers, and see the lasting impact of your candidate relationships and market knowledge. It is also a strong fit for an ambitious in-house Talent Acquisition professional with a hunter mentality who enjoys building pipelines and supporting business growth through excellent hiring decisions.
Based remotely on the US East Coast, the role offers the chance to help shape and expand the Talent Acquisition function during an early growth stage, with a high level of autonomy, leadership visibility, and involvement in both strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and run the end-to-end hiring process for technical positions in the Pharma/BioTech space.
- Handle active vacancies while also building forward-looking candidate pipelines, giving you responsibility beyond immediate requisition filling.
- Identify, assess, and narrow down strong candidates who match both client and internal business needs.
- Deliver a positive and professional experience for candidates throughout recruitment.
- Create and maintain focused talent pools that support both current hiring and future demand.
- Develop an engaged candidate network and manage it over time using a relationship-driven approach in an in-house setting.
- Monitor the US talent market, competitor activity, and the availability of key skills.
- Reach out to and keep passive candidates engaged through targeted outreach.
- Strengthen market presence through direct talent engagement, referral-based sourcing, and credible conversations with passive candidates.
- Follow SimoTech recruitment procedures and SOPs to ensure compliance.
- Prepare clear reporting for the business on pipeline health, candidate engagement, market feedback, hiring risks, and recommended next steps.
- Track pipeline indicators and recruitment performance data.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- At least 8 years of recruitment experience, preferably with senior agency, specialist search, retained search, or technical recruitment exposure in Life Sciences, Pharma/BioTech, engineering, automation, or manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success recruiting for engineering, automation, and manufacturing roles.
- Agency or search background is especially valuable, particularly where you have built a strong desk, maintained repeat candidate relationships, and handled demanding technical hiring needs.
- Interest in moving in-house while continuing to work quickly, commercially, and proactively with a strong search mindset.
- Strong working knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools.
- Experience with recruitment reporting systems and dashboards.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
