Role Summary
The role of Supply Chain Coordinator acts as the crucial operational bridge connecting customers, suppliers, transport providers, and warehouse teams. This position involves managing the coordination of inbound deliveries, outbound shipments, and transport activities to ensure timely and accurate product flow, while maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the main operational liaison for clients, suppliers, and transport partners.
- Manage scheduling and coordination of inbound deliveries and outbound collections.
- Arrange carrier bookings and track transport performance metrics.
- Collaborate closely with Warehouse Operations to prioritize critical inbound and outbound shipments.
- Address and resolve issues such as delivery failures, shipment delays, and inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date data across Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and customer portals.
- Generate operational performance reports and monitor service level adherence.
- Support onboarding processes for new customers and develop supply chain procedures.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve the customer experience.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain, transport coordination, logistics, or warehouse administrative roles.
- Solid understanding of both inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills and confidence when interacting with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems, ERP software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a dedication to maintaining accurate operational data.
- Proactive and solution-oriented mindset coupled with effective problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Background in third-party logistics (3PL) environments.
- Knowledge of transport planning and freight forwarding processes.
- Experience complying with customer requirements and retailer routing guidelines.
- Exposure to ecommerce or retail fulfilment operations.
- Familiarity with Lean methodology, continuous improvement practices, or process optimization.
