About IMAS
Investment Management Association of Singapore (IMAS) is an industry association representing more than 150 major firms, including global and local names such as BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, GIC, Fidelity, Fullerton, Pimco, Allen & Gledhill, Clifford Chance, Rajah & Tann, KPMG, PwC and Deloitte. The organisation connects the buy-side community and works closely with regulators such as MAS, IRAS and IMDA to help Singapore’s asset management sector continue expanding and stay globally competitive.
Role Overview
IMAS is looking for a bright graduate who wants to build a career in the fund management industry and join the Secretariat team. This position offers broad exposure across the asset management landscape, touching areas such as investments, marketing, accounting, legal and regulatory matters.
What You Will Do
- Research market trends, analyse industry data, and help drive industry development initiatives while supporting engagement with regulators.
- Work on strategy and research projects related to digitalisation, fintech and start-up activity within the industry.
- Support the coordination of responses to regulatory consultations by reviewing policy updates, drafting replies and clarifying issues with relevant stakeholders, including regulators.
- Help implement strategic programmes for the industry, such as training, advocacy and collaboration with fintech partners to accelerate digital adoption.
Candidate Profile
The right person is curious, self-driven, comfortable working with data, and genuinely enjoys reading and writing. The role suits someone who can work independently, meet deadlines and engage confidently with a range of stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Up to 3 years of work experience.
- Strong academic background with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting, economics, or data/business analytics.
- Comfort with spreadsheets and data handling, including the ability to interpret information from multiple sources and turn it into useful insights.
- Strong written communication and business writing ability.
- Good command of MS Office tools, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Independent, proactive, highly motivated, positive and deadline-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with different stakeholder groups.
