Job Summary
This role is for a disciplined stock options trader who understands the U.S. equities market in depth and can actively execute, monitor, and refine options strategies. The position calls for strong analytical ability, solid derivatives knowledge, and comfort working in a demanding trading environment where quick, accurate decisions matter.
Responsibilities
- Place and manage options trades across U.S. equity markets, including calls, puts, spreads, straddles, iron condors, and similar structures.
- Create and apply trading approaches that aim to be profitable using market direction, technical signals, and fundamental analysis.
- Keep track of open positions and reduce risk through hedging and position rebalancing when needed.
- Review market data, implied volatility, and pricing frameworks such as Black-Scholes and option Greeks.
- Measure portfolio results and prepare P&L updates and performance reviews.
- Follow market developments, economic releases, earnings announcements, and rule changes that may affect U.S. stocks and options.
- Work with analysts, portfolio managers, or other team members when required.
- Observe all risk controls and trading rules without exception.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a closely related area; an advanced degree is an advantage.
- Hands-on experience trading stock options in U.S. markets, usually in the 2 to 5+ year range.
- Strong command of options strategies and derivatives valuation.
- Ability to use trading platforms such as Thinkorswim, Interactive Brokers, and TradeStation.
- Good grasp of risk management practices.
- Excellent analytical judgment and decision-making ability.
- Capability to stay composed, work under pressure, and act quickly with sound reasoning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Regulatory certifications or licenses such as Series 7, Series 63, Series 57, or an equivalent credential.
- Exposure to algorithmic or quantitative trading methods.
- Programming or scripting knowledge in Python, R, or VBA is a plus.
- Familiarity with market information tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or comparable platforms.

- Ability to analyze markets technically and fundamentally.

Working Conditions
- The environment is fast-moving and high pressure, with decisions often made in real time.
- Work may need to align with U.S. market hours, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM EST.
