Role Overview

We seek passionate individuals to join as Software Development Engineer I (SDE-I) specializing in iOS mobile applications. The successful candidate will contribute significantly to building and improving Swiggy's iOS app, used by millions to order food, groceries, dine-in, and more. This role offers a dynamic environment to collaborate with experienced iOS developers and grow expertise in a fast-paced app development setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across teams to design scalable and resilient architecture promoting best practices and reusable code structures.
• Develop clean, maintainable Swift/SwiftUI code implementing new features, enhancements, and fixing bugs within deadlines.
• Create and run thorough unit and integration tests, setting up automated testing frameworks to assure app reliability.
• Identify and address performance issues to optimize application responsiveness and resource consumption; conduct code reviews and profiling.
• Generate technical documentation including design briefs, API specs, release notes, and codebase updates to aid knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers translating requirements into technical solutions; actively participate in Agile rituals such as sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Continuously update knowledge on iOS development trends and innovate to improve processes, coding standards, and software quality.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline preferred; Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum one year of professional experience building iOS applications.
• Expertise in Swift programming language.
• Strong knowledge of iOS SDK, Xcode, and relevant developer tools.
• Experience with iOS architecture patterns and components.
• Good grasp of software design principles, patterns, and industry standards.
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and handling data formats like JSON and Proto.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and CI/CD systems like Jenkins.
• Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaborative abilities.
• Ability to excel in a fast-evolving environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with Kotlin Multiplatform considered a plus.
