Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, digitally adept Social Media Assistant to become an essential member of our Marketing department. If you possess a talent for creating dynamic social media content and thrive in collaborative settings, this opportunity lets you contribute to amplifying our brand presence across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation, scheduling, and publishing of captivating content on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
- Help manage and update the museum's social media content calendar to maintain a steady and consistent posting rhythm.
- Generate on-site engaging content by capturing behind-the-scenes moments, event coverage, and everyday museum activities.
- Support copywriting tasks for captions, community posts, stories, and short videos, alongside organizing and maintaining digital media assets.
- Monitor social channels daily and aid in responding promptly and professionally to comments, messages, and engagements.
- Track social media performance by analyzing engagement metrics, follower growth, and reach; contribute to social media reports and research emerging trends, creators, and influencer partnerships.
- Provide on-site social media support during museum events, exhibition launches, activations, and collaborations with partners.
Qualifications & Traits
- 1 to 2 years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or content creation preferred; relevant internships or freelance work are also considered.
- Strong familiarity with key social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, plus basic knowledge of scheduling and analytics tools.
- Excellent written communication skills with strong copywriting and editing capabilities.
- Technical creativity, evidenced by skills in photography, video editing (using tools like CapCut and Premiere), or graphic design, is highly desirable.
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- A genuine enthusiasm for automotive culture, museums, entertainment, or experiential marketing greatly valued.
- Ability to remain flexible and adapt to dynamic schedules or breaking news, maintaining composure under pressure.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and initiative to continuously refresh and activate social platforms.
- Professionalism combined with warmth and enthusiasm when interacting with the online community.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position is based predominantly within our vibrant museum and office setting. It requires occasional evening, weekend, and event work to provide live social media coverage. The role involves significant movement throughout the museum's galleries and event spaces to capture optimized content, with occasional local travel for special activations.
Typical equipment used includes smartphones, gimbal stabilizers, digital cameras, laptops, editing software, and social media publishing tools.
Compensation
The expected pay range for this position is $22 to $24 per hour.
