About the Role
The Site Supervisor role is designed for candidates with 1 to 2 years of relevant construction experience. The primary function is overseeing and managing daily construction operations to ensure that all tasks comply with the approved architectural plans and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily on-site construction processes ensuring adherence to specifications and drawings.
- Monitor site progress and communicate updates to senior management including Site Engineer and Project Manager.
- Manage and supervise both skilled and unskilled on-site labor, assigning daily assignments to maximize worker productivity.
- Coordinate subcontractors for seamless execution of tasks.
- Conduct quality inspections regularly, identify defects promptly and facilitate immediate corrective measures.
- Supervise receipt, storage, and appropriate use of building materials and equipment; track consumption and report shortages.
- Ensure safe and proper use as well as maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Enforce workplace safety protocols, conduct daily safety meetings, and promptly report incidents or hazardous conditions.
- Maintain open communication channels with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and workers to streamline site activities.
- Document daily reports, attendance, material deliveries, and progress logs accurately for project records.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum education requirement is completion of Higher Secondary (12th pass).
- Possession of a Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant certification in construction supervision is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and practice.
- Ability to interpret simple construction drawings and utilize measurement tools effectively.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities to interact efficiently with teams and supervisors.
