Site Engineer

About the Role

Secure Zone is looking for a versatile Site Engineer to manage comprehensive installation, testing, and commissioning tasks for Solar PV Panels, Fire Hydrant and Alarm Systems, as well as CCTV Surveillance installations. The role demands effective supervision of daily site operations, coordination with contractors and clients, and strict compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage installation of solar power systems including ground or rooftop mounting, electrical wiring, inverter setup, and grid interconnection.
• Conduct pre-commissioning inspections, insulation tests, and verify system performance of solar components.
• Supervise fire hydrant system set-up including water pumps, risers, hydrants, valves, and conduct pressure testing and flushing.
• Coordinate integration with fire water storage tanks.
• Oversee fire alarm system installation including wiring, detectors, call points, alarms, control panel programming, and ensure compliance with applicable fire safety codes such as NBC and NFPA.
• Handle CCTV system setup including physical installation of cameras, configuration of recording devices, network settings, and troubleshooting common issues such as latency and power over Ethernet disruptions.
• Interpret CAD drawings, schematics, and Bill of Quantities for accurate site execution.
• Manage labor resources, subcontractors, and track material inventory on-site.
• Maintain detailed daily progress and safety documentation including progress reports and measurement records.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/B.E) in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• 2 to 5 years practical experience in solar PV installation and site management.
• Proficient knowledge of PV system layouts, electrical wiring, earthing standards, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and effective communication to liaise with clients and vendors.
• Age between 20 and 35 years.

Compensation

The monthly salary for this position ranges from INR 25,000 to INR 30,000.
