Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Service Planner to join a well-established, family-run company based on the outskirts of Leeds. The position involves managing the daily scheduling and coordination of field engineers focused on maintenance, repairs, and emergency breakdown responses. This full-time, office-based role requires working Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and timetable maintenance visits, repair jobs and urgent breakdown calls for field engineers.
- Communicate with customers to set up appointments and keep them informed of progress.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure necessary materials and tools are ready for each job.
- Keep detailed and accurate records in the scheduling system.
- Supply engineers with comprehensive job details before site visits.
- Review engineer workloads regularly and adjust plans to accommodate urgent requests.
- Maintain clear communication lines among engineers, customers, and colleagues to uphold excellent service standards.
- Assist in meeting service and operational goals.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within company policies.
- Perform additional administrative and planning tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in a planning or scheduling capacity, preferably coordinating field engineers.
- Proven ability to manage workloads involving planned maintenance and reactive repairs.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently with customers and engineers.
- Meticulous attention to detail along with precise data entry capabilities.
- Ability to stay composed and flexible when faced with shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with planning, scheduling, or job management software.
- A dependable, proactive, and team-oriented mindset.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000, based on experience.
