Role Overview

The SEO Specialist will be instrumental in driving organic growth for diverse clients, many of whom are multinational enterprises with complex websites exceeding a million pages. The role requires formulating and executing sophisticated SEO strategies, optimizing sites technically and content-wise, automating workflows, and integrating SEO tactics within a broader digital marketing mix encompassing paid media, content, PR, and conversion optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Create and deploy SEO approaches tailored to clients' business objectives and KPIs.
Lead end-to-end SEO projects, covering technical audits, content enhancements, and link-building efforts.
Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance SEO efficiency.
Conduct detailed technical SEO audits addressing site architecture, internal linking, page speed, structured data, and crawl optimization.
Ensure accurate application of schema markup, canonical tags, hreflang, and other technical SEO essentials.
Perform keyword research and analyze intent to guide content development and targeting.
Apply advanced on-page SEO techniques, including AI-assisted content creation, semantic optimization, and entity-based keyword grouping.
Collaborate with content teams to provide SEO briefs aligned with E-E-A-T principles and user intent.
Analyze backlink profiles to strategize domain authority enhancement through digital PR and outreach campaigns.
Monitor brand presence within AI-curated knowledge platforms and traditional search results.
Assess competitor SEO tactics and stay informed about industry trends and search algorithm updates, particularly in AI-driven search.
Regularly measure SEO performance metrics, presenting insights and strategic advice to clients and stakeholders.
Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews to guide future SEO initiatives based on data analysis.

Candidate Profile

Minimum of 5-7 years of SEO experience, including at least 2 years in an agency setting with demonstrated success across multiple industries.
Expertise in managing large-scale websites, some with over 100,000 pages.
Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data and develop actionable SEO strategies.
Experience utilizing AI platforms like OpenAI to enhance efficiency.
Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Gemini, and AI-enhanced SEO solutions.
Innovative and forward-thinking approach to SEO, especially within emerging AI-powered search technologies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex SEO concepts effectively.
Strategic mindset understanding SEO's role in comprehensive marketing and business growth.

Position Details

Title: SEO Specialist
Department: Digital Delivery/SEO
Reporting To: Head of SEO
Employment Type: Full-time; permanent engagement with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Work Location: Remote, targeting candidates in GMT+7 to GMT+12 time zones.
Employment Terms: Full-time employment for those based in Australia with an Australian tax number; contractor status for candidates outside Australia without an AUS tax registration.
