Role Summary
As a Senior or Staff Software Engineer with a frontend emphasis working within the Risk Detection platform, you will play a pivotal role in developing advanced product experiences that help retailers identify and respond to crime swiftly. The role primarily deals with React and TypeScript frontend development but requires involvement in backend services including APIs and .NET components to solve end-to-end problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement sophisticated interfaces within Auror's Risk Detection ecosystem, notably involving Auror Subject Recognition (ASR).
- Transform complex alert, identity, and investigation workflows into user-friendly experiences enabling rapid, informed actions.
- Engage with Product and Design teams early to influence product decisions with technical insights.
- Lead frontend architecture evolution, establishing patterns for state management, data fetching, testing, and performance optimization.
- Contribute to backend and service components as needed to deliver holistic solutions.
- Participate in technical leadership activities such as design reviews, mentoring, and drafting technical documentation.
- Incorporate AI tools judiciously into the development cycle to improve engineering effectiveness.
- Enhance reliability, observability, and privacy-conscious design of software especially where sensitive data like biometrics are involved.

- Proficient in React and TypeScript with experience building complex, maintainable frontend systems.

- Full-stack understanding with familiarity or experience in backend ecosystems like C# and .NET.

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary depending on experience: $120,000 - $150,000 NZD for IC3 level; $145,000 - $170,000 NZD for IC4.
