Senior Specialist I - Procurement Data Analysis and Contract Management

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Specialist I in Procurement based in Riyadh to directly support the Manager of Procurement Operations for DS. The main objective is to optimize the procurement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supplies and consumables by analyzing procurement data from multiple perspectives to drive enhanced operational efficiency, quality improvement, and cost savings.

This role requires active engagement in sourcing, tendering, and contract management in alignment with corporate procurement policies, focusing on automating processes via SAP outline agreements to cover a broad range of MRO items. The individual will act as the key intermediary between the company and vendors, managing negotiations, contract presentations and finalizations. Additionally, participation in ongoing data cleansing and material management initiatives will ensure procurement data remains accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze market trends, vendor performances, and procurement activities to inform strategic decisions in procurement management.
• Generate regular reports on departmental cost savings and operational metrics for management review.
• Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers leveraging company databases and market research.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues related to PCs, laptops, printers, and Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook and Teams.
• Ensure vendor compliance with contract terms to maintain supplier quality standards.
• Coordinate interactions among vendors, suppliers, and internal clients to secure competitive pricing and timely deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to facilitate procurement process completion through information exchange and feedback.
• Assist in preparing and processing Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) aligned with internal customer requirements.
• Evaluate tender and RFP bids collaboratively with end user departments to recommend appropriate spending levels.
• Participate in data cleansing projects to maintain high-quality procurement data integrity.
• Support system automation efforts by increasing items covered through SAP outline agreements.
• Monitor contract terms, coordinate amendments approvals, and maintain documentation standards such as ticket notes and service reports including SLA, FCR, and CSAT.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify delays, and develop catch-up plans as needed.
• Uphold confidentiality and adhere strictly to business ethics in all procurement activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in any field or diploma with 2 to 4 years of professional experience in procurement or related disciplines.
• Possession of professional purchasing qualifications is advantageous but not mandatory.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong analytical capabilities to validate procurement strategies, business decisions, and recommendations.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Planning and organizational skills for negotiating and executing procurement processes that ensure quality purchasing services.
• Proficiency in SAP Materials Management (MM) module and/or Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based tools.
• Time management and strong business acumen, including understanding of finance principles such as ROI, cost accounting, and value for money.
• Understanding of legal contractual terms and their implications in procurement and support services.
• Ability to develop and manage cross-departmental relationships and partake in multifunctional teams focusing on project management and process improvements.
