Job description

Role Overview

The Senior Scheduling Executive oversees detailed quarterly and daily TV broadcast schedules for free-to-air channels, aimed at enhancing promotional reach, audience engagement, and channel performance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Create and manage timely, accurate quarterly and daily broadcast timetables for designated TV channels.
  • Strategically position promotional content such as trailers and fillers to maximize audience attraction and program visibility.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and strategic plans while collaborating with Playout, On-Air Promotions, Marketing, Content Standards, Subtitling, Commercials, and Media Exchange teams to meet deadlines.
  • Work with Managers to develop SOPs and operational plans for live events, providing standby assistance during such broadcasts.
  • Organize secondary elements including banners and channel bugs, and oversee sponsorship loadings for accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
  • Support problem resolution concerning scheduling and operations in coordination with management to minimize broadcast interruptions.
  • Respond promptly to last-minute scheduling changes, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Conduct comprehensive reconciliation of schedules to ensure data correctness, content metadata integrity, and sponsorship compliance.
  • Produce and analyze reports to track sponsorship results and verify contract fulfillment.
  • Manage electronic program guide (EPG) tasks, guaranteeing that all program details, metadata, and synopses are precise and submitted punctually across multiple platforms.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or equivalent in Mass Communication, Media and Communication, or relevant fields such as media production, broadcasting, or digital media technologies.
  • Preferably 1 to 2 years experience in TV broadcast or media sectors, especially in scheduling, traffic coordination, or media operations.
  • Applications from fresh graduates or those without prior experience are welcome; training will be provided.
  • Basic knowledge of broadcast scheduling software and operational workflows.
  • Genuine passion for both local and international TV content.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with strong multitasking abilities and prioritization skills.
  • Competent problem solver capable of working independently with limited supervision.
