Senior Electrical Manager

Job Overview

The Senior Electrical Manager is tasked with overseeing all electrical engineering and construction phases across the lifecycle of projects. This role is critical in ensuring electrical systems meet design specifications, are installed, tested, and commissioned to high-quality standards, safety norms, and budget constraints. The position involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including consultants, contractors, and clients to guarantee project success.

Primary Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all electrical engineering and construction efforts.
• Conduct thorough design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable local and international codes and standards.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, consultants, contractors, and various engineering departments.
• Approve electrical drawings, specifications, technical documentation, and materials selection.
• Track project timelines, budgets, and allocation of resources to ensure deadlines are met.
• Uphold health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations throughout the project.
• Identify potential project risks and establish appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Supervise testing, commissioning, and handover processes for electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and provide engineering solutions during execution.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the electrical engineering team members.
• Assess contractor performance ensuring adherence to contractual terms.
• Prepare and present technical reports, progress updates, and presentations to management.
• Assist procurement by evaluating technical bids and vendor proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree considered a plus.
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage.
