Overview
This contract opportunity is for a Senior Business Analyst who will support major customer migration and business transformation initiatives. The role is centered on handling complex data needs, building reporting structures, and working closely with cross-functional partners to help move customers from legacy products and services to newer technology platforms.
The position plays an important part in bringing together data from multiple systems, strengthening reporting capabilities, improving processes, and generating business insights that inform strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, define, record, and oversee program data, reporting, and analytics needs.
- Build and keep updated data roadmaps that align with business priorities and technology plans.
- Work with Business Intelligence, Product, Network, Operations, and Data Management teams to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and overall program visibility.
- Examine and combine large datasets from different systems to produce useful reports and performance measures.
- Create, enhance, and support dashboards and reporting solutions using Google Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
- Carry out data validation, testing, and quality checks to protect reporting accuracy.
- Investigate reporting problems and handle escalations involving data integrity, reporting platforms, and business workflows.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, procedures, and best practices that support efficiency and scalability.
- Deliver insights and recommendations based on program results, customer behavior, and business performance.
- Partner with stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and improve the customer migration journey.
- Guide junior team members on reporting, analytics, and data management best practices.
Required Qualifications
- A university degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Business, Commerce, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Background as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or Reporting Analyst in large enterprise settings.
- Strong ability to gather business requirements and convert them into reporting and analytics solutions.
- Advanced data analysis capability, including work across multiple source systems.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or comparable platforms.
- Solid understanding of data quality, testing approaches, and reporting validation methods.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional groups such as Product, Operations, Technology, and Business Intelligence.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex data in a clear, practical way.
- Excellent organization and the ability to manage several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to customer migration, transformation, modernization, or technology transition programs.
- Knowledge of telecommunications, network technologies, or initiatives involving large customer bases.
- Experience creating KPI dashboards, reporting frameworks, and performance measurement programs.
- Familiarity with SQL, cloud-based analytics environments, and enterprise reporting tools.
- Experience mentoring colleagues and supporting process improvement efforts.
