As a Scheduling Assistant in the People & Culture team, you will play a vital role in coordinating staff schedules to maintain exceptional care and a positive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and adjust staff schedules to meet coverage needs while adhering to scheduling policies and collective agreements.
- Perform audits on schedules and timecards to verify accuracy and implement necessary corrections.
- Generate scheduling reports and collect relevant data as requested.
- Maintain consistent communication with team members and leadership to facilitate effective workforce coordination.
- Foster collaboration through clear, professional communication at all organizational levels.
- Support an interdisciplinary team approach to achieve shared goals and service excellence.
- Participate in daily operational activities, adhering to organizational processes, policies, and regulatory standards.
- Identify potential risks, service gaps, or issues, escalating them appropriately to ensure compliance and quality.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and accountability in all scheduling tasks, supporting audits and evaluations as necessary.
- Engage in initiatives targeting continuous process improvement and the adoption of new tools or technologies to enhance scheduling efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum education requirement: completion of Grade 12.
- At least two years of scheduling experience, ideally within a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge and experience in interpreting and enforcing collective agreements.
- Typing speed of 50 words per minute.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic setting.
- High level of discretion and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive hourly wage of $30.28.
