Sample Technician - Garment Manufacturing

Overview

We invite applications for the position of Sample Technician at our garment manufacturing unit based in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fabricating and refining garment samples strictly adhering to buyer instructions, technical documentation, and precise measurements.

Key Duties

• Create garment samples from technical packs, design sketches, and customer criteria.
• Demonstrate thorough comprehension of garment construction and sewing methods.
• Collaborate closely with merchandising personnel and pattern developers.
• Detect issues relating to structure and fit during sample preparation.
• Manage the implementation of corrections and revise samples accordingly.
• Ensure strict adherence to specified measurements and garment standards.
• Produce samples specifically for knitwear including T-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, and hoodies.
• Meet deadlines set for sample development progress.
• Contribute to fitting sessions and relay precise technical updates to production teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possession of a Diploma or ITI certification in Garment Technology, Fashion Technology, or a similar area.
• Demonstrates 4 to 14 years of practical experience in garment sample development.
• Comprehensive knowledge of knitwear structural design.
• Skills to interpret tech packs, measurement charts, and detailed garment construction documents.
• Proficient with sewing machinery and garment finishing techniques.
