Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager for the Infrastructure Division, based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The candidate will play a critical role in driving business growth, particularly in the booming infrastructure, railway, metro, and industrial sectors of Mumbai and Maharashtra. This fast-growing MSME-registered client is a renowned designer and manufacturer of advanced bridge engineering components as well as industrial rubber products, serving major national projects including high-speed metros and defense installations.

Responsibilities

  • Drive aggressive sales initiatives to generate new business opportunities across Mumbai and Maharashtra.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with government bodies, tier-1 contractors, consultants, and architects.
  • Monitor infrastructure project tenders, understand requirements, and lead technical and commercial negotiations to win contracts.
  • Manage the sales pipeline to exceed revenue goals, analyze market trends, gather competitive intelligence, and ensure on-time payments.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to guarantee smooth project execution and high customer retention.

Candidate Profile

  • Must have 8 to 10 years of substantial sales or business development experience in construction, government projects, railways, infrastructure, or capital goods sectors.
  • Minimum qualification is a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; an MBA in Marketing is preferred. Non-engineering candidates with an MBA and exceptional infra-related sales experience are also considered.
  • Fluency in English, Marathi, and Hindi is essential to effectively communicate at corporate and project levels.
  • Should be currently based in Mumbai and have intimate knowledge of the local market and stakeholders.
