Rotational Physiotherapist

Role Overview

Become part of Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust at Fairfield General Hospital as a rotational physiotherapist, contributing to quality patient care driven by evidence-based methods and collaborative approaches. This role allows exposure to diverse physiotherapy specializations including Acute Stroke Rehabilitation, Respiratory care, Acute Medicine, General Rehabilitation, Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal (MSK), and Community services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and timely evaluations of patients to establish clinical conditions and needs.
• Design, execute, and adjust personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans focusing on patient-centered care.
• Continuously assess the effectiveness of treatments to optimize patient health outcomes.
• Coordinate care pathways appropriately, ensuring communication and referrals to relevant agencies as necessary.
• Manage an independent caseload autonomously, including complex cases requiring specialized attention.
• Engage consistently in professional development through training, supervision, and support from senior clinical staff.

Working Conditions

The physiotherapy service aims to operate beyond standard hours, necessitating flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, bank holidays, and overtime as required to support a seven-day service model.
