About the Role and Location

Mantra Observatory is situated in the scenic coastal town of Port Macquarie in Northern New South Wales, about four hours north of Sydney. This property offers guests a variety of accommodation options including hotel rooms, self-contained apartments with one to three bedrooms, and a penthouse suite with three bedrooms. Role Purpose

As a Room Attendant, you will be a crucial member of the Housekeeping team, responsible for maintaining pristine cleanliness in guest rooms and attending meticulously to detail. Beyond cleaning duties, this role involves teamwork and assisting guests to ensure an outstanding hospitality experience that leaves lasting positive impressions.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean all parts of guest rooms thoroughly, including changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, and wiping surfaces to uphold high cleanliness standards.
• Operate within established procedures to meet the hotel’s quality expectations.
• Maintain and replenish housekeeping carts, ensuring they are organized and fully stocked.
• Handle cleaning materials safely and follow all safety guidelines to maintain a secure environment.
• Respect guest privacy and safety at all times, safeguarding their comfort and security.
• Promptly report any maintenance issues encountered to support guest satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in cleaning or as a room attendant is advantageous.
• Possess warm and friendly communication skills, able to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and colleagues.
• Detail-oriented and efficient with good time management; takes pride in carrying out cleaning duties.
• Physically fit and comfortable with a role that involves moving between rooms and using stairs and outdoor pathways.
• Enjoy working collaboratively with a team from diverse backgrounds.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and public holidays is essential.
