Job description

Position Overview

Join RAC as a Roadside Technician working night shifts, delivering expert vehicle repairs and roadside support across the Bournemouth area and surrounding localities including Poole, Christchurch, Wimborne, Ringwood, Wareham, and Swanage. This role offers the benefit of working locally, starting and ending your day at home, providing quick and dependable mechanical assistance to RAC members.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the Patrol division, you will perform on-site diagnostic services, carry out mechanical repairs such as battery replacements, tyre changes, and fault finding, ensuring members regain mobility promptly. You will represent RAC professionally, offering outstanding customer service under varying roadside conditions.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess either an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) complemented by at least 2 years of relevant experience, or hold a minimum of 5 years’ vehicle technician/mechanic experience.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license with fewer than 6 penalty points.
