Restaurant Utility Worker - Full-Time

About the Role

We are looking for a Restaurant Utility Worker to help maintain cleanliness, safety, and the overall upkeep of our restaurant facilities and equipment. This role involves routine and deep cleaning, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs to ensure a well-functioning and inviting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all required training programs provided by Zax LLC.
• Ensure the restaurant premises are clean, safe, and properly maintained at all times.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled cleaning and maintenance tasks within the restaurant.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance and cleaning on equipment and facilities.
• Diagnose malfunctions by inspecting, operating, or testing restaurant equipment.
• Manage minor electrical repairs, including basic lighting issues.
• Conduct deep cleaning and pressure washing inside and outside the establishment.
• Understand and follow equipment manuals and work orders accurately.
• Regularly inspect plumbing, electrical fixtures, kitchen equipment, and building structures to identify and address issues proactively.
• Make essential repairs as necessary to maintain operational standards.
• Interpret safety procedures, laws, operating instructions, and manuals effectively.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
• Adhere to all Zaxby’s Franchising LLC and Zax LLC policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously and work in a manner that prioritizes safety.
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform tasks beyond the standard job description as needed.
• Report human resources and risk management issues promptly to management.
• Address other relevant concerns with supervisors when appropriate.
• Perform any additional duties required for smooth restaurant operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess reliable transportation to the work location.
• Availability for full-time work ranging from 32 to 40 hours weekly.
• Flexible scheduling capabilities, including availability on days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Leadership skills, organizational ability, and skills for effective interpersonal cooperation.

Physical and Capability Requirements

• Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Occasional stooping, bending, crouching, climbing, and safe ladder use.
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of items up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifts.
• Dexterity and fine motor skills requiring continuous hand and wrist use.
• Effective communication skills in speaking, reading, and writing.
• Adequate sensory abilities for audio-visual perception to monitor and respond to the environment.
• Work exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions involving temperature fluctuations and allergens.
• Safe operation of restaurant equipment, including knives, fryers, and other potentially hazardous tools.
