Restaurant General Manager

Overview

This role is for a General Manager position at a restaurant operated by an independent franchisee licensed to use the McDonald's brand and products. This franchisee is a separate employer from McDonald's USA, which does not oversee employment decisions or receive your application information. If hired, you will be employed directly by the franchisee.

Role Purpose

As General Manager, your primary responsibility is managing a profitable restaurant that consistently meets McDonald's high standards for Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. You will collaborate closely with leadership to establish restaurant goals and develop plans to reach them. Success requires leading a team of Department Managers by setting their goals, monitoring progress, and coaching them to improve their areas. Your leadership will help elevate the entire restaurant’s performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day restaurant operations ensuring customer standards are met.
• Lead and develop a team of Department and Shift Managers to ensure optimal staffing and future leadership capacity.
• Set goals for both the restaurant and individual departments and continually track performance.
• Provide coaching and direction to department managers for enhancing department effectiveness.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a General Manager running busy, high-volume locations is highly preferred.
• Experience in quick service restaurants is desirable; hospitality or retail experience also applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years old to serve as a manager in corporate-owned restaurants.
