About the Role

3EYES Construction Ltd is seeking a skilled Residential Quantity Surveyor to join their Auckland team. This role focuses on managing cost aspects within residential construction projects, ensuring budgets and resources are effectively controlled throughout project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop budgets, cost estimates, and quotations specifically for residential developments.
• Oversee procurement processes, including gathering subcontractor quotations and performing price comparisons.
• Assist with preparation and management of contracts and commercial documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, site personnel, suppliers, and subcontractors to align project goals and requirements.
• Perform additional project and quantity surveying duties as assigned by management.
• Support comprehensive commercial and cost management activities from project inception through to completion.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum two years of relevant experience within the construction industry, emphasizing quantity surveying in residential projects.
• Thorough understanding of residential construction costs, estimating, and tendering procedures.
• Proficient in procurement practices and managing subcontractor relationships.
• Strong time management abilities coupled with reliable communication and coordination skills.
• Responsible team player with the ability to work independently and follow management directives diligently.
• Flexibility to support team needs according to project and business demands.
• Competent in using CostX, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant QS or office software tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
