Role Overview
As a Research Analyst at Armstrong Capital & Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive analysis on mutual funds, equities, and other investment vehicles to assess their performance, risk metrics, and growth prospects. The role involves closely evaluating stock holdings within mutual fund portfolios to determine sector exposures and valuation impacts on fund returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth research and evaluation of capital market instruments including mutual funds and equities.
- Scrutinize Portfolio Management Services by analyzing portfolio construction, investment strategies, and risk-return profiles.
- Monitor global financial markets, economic indicators, and emerging investment themes to detect potential opportunities.
- Develop detailed research reports, comparative fund notes, and presentation material for internal stakeholders and leadership.
- Provide actionable insights to support portfolio construction and optimization within the investment advisory team.
- Continuously track fund performance against benchmarks and key financial metrics to identify winning and lagging strategies.
- Assist senior management through strategic research, market intelligence, and special projects focused on business expansion.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline is required.
- Preferred qualifications include postgraduate degrees in Finance or an MBA with Finance specialization.
- Prior work experience of 2 to 3 years in capital markets, investment research, or wealth management roles is essential.
Technical Skills and Tools
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, pivot tables, and dashboard creation.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint for investment and performance presentations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot to enhance research productivity.
- Skilled in Canva for designing visually impactful research reports and decks.
- Experienced with Morningstar Direct, Value Research, or CRISIL for mutual fund and market data.
- Capability to use data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Word or Google Workspace tools for documentation.
- Basic understanding of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation is a plus.
