Job description
About the Role
This opportunity is for qualified radiologists to join Professional Radiology Outcomes (PRO), a top independent teleradiology provider in Australia, as a remote tele-radiologist. The position is based in Darwin and surrounding Northern Territory locations, offering fully remote diagnostic reporting services with flexible schedules tailored to individual preferences. Enjoy the benefits of working from home with a complete high-performance diagnostic workstation provided, allowing you to manage your caseload using advanced teleradiology technology. PRO supports both part-time and casual work arrangements.
Core Responsibilities
- Interpret a broad range of imaging studies including X-rays, CT, MRI, DEXA, and Ultrasound.
- Utilise advanced platforms such as Inteleviewer PACS and Fluency for Imaging VR for secure, efficient reporting.
- Deliver timely, accurate diagnostic reports to hospitals, clinics, and private practices, aiming for a 24-hour turnaround with no mandatory shifts.
- Liaise with referring clinicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes and maintain high clinical governance.
- Participate in PRO’s equity-based Share Option Plan and receive competitive productivity-based remuneration (e.g., $400–$500 per hour).
Candidate Requirements
- Current Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR).
- Unrestricted general registration with AHPRA.
- Permanent residency in Australia and a secure, dedicated home office with high-speed internet.
- Experience in musculoskeletal, women’s health, thoracic/chest, neuroradiology, abdominal/body, or dental imaging appreciated but not essential.
- Commitment to patient safety, accuracy, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and clinician liaison.
Work Structure & Perks
- Customise your working hours: choose daytime, after-hours, weekday, or weekend shifts as preferred.
- No relocation required; fully remote from anywhere in Australia.
- State-of-the-art technology, comprehensive IT, and admin support provided.
- Stable flow of diverse imaging cases across public and private health sectors.
- Ongoing career development, training, and opportunities for peer collaboration and mentoring.
- Share Option Plan for long-term value and engagement.
Additional Information
- This is a reporting-only role; clinical appointments such as performing scans are not required.
- Sessions can be casual, part-time, or full-time—designed to fit around existing hospital rosters or other commitments.
- After-hours and weekend shifts available for enhanced flexibility and income.
- Applicants are welcome from Darwin, regional NT, and other states, provided FRANZCR and AHPRA requirements are met.
- Technology setup support ensures all state and national standards for safety and compliance are met.
