About the Role
Join IKEA New Zealand as a Remote Sales Team Leader and contribute to the growth of a world-class Remote Customer Meeting Point (RCMP). This pivotal position involves leading a remote sales team that delivers outstanding customer experiences and drives sales growth through various customer contact channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of a remote sales team to ensure excellent customer service and meet sales and conversion targets.
- Provide coaching and development through feedback and performance discussions to enhance team skills and results.
- Analyze sales performance data, identify improvement areas, and implement strategies to accomplish business goals.
- Cultivate a sales culture focused on understanding customers' needs and recommending suitable products and services.
- Support marketing campaigns, new product launches, and commercial activities to optimize sales potential.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to share customer insights and refine the overall customer experience.
- Ensure team members maintain in-depth knowledge of IKEA products and services to confidently promote them.
- Promote a positive, motivated, and high-achieving team environment aligned with IKEA's values.
- Identify and support process improvements that boost efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- At least five years' experience leading successful sales, contact centre, customer service, or retail teams, with proven achievement of sales and commercial objectives.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate and coach teams towards consistent sales and customer satisfaction results.
- Solid commercial insight with the ability to analyze performance metrics and implement actionable improvements.
- Experience managing key performance indicators such as sales conversion rates, productivity, and customer experience metrics.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities to collaborate across various business units.
- Problem-solving proficiency and sound decision-making skills in a dynamic work setting.
- Familiarity with customer engagement platforms and sales performance analytics tools.

Additional Information and Benefits
- This is a permanent, full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement combining remote home working and time at IKEA's External Warehouse in Māngere.
