Job Overview
We are looking to hire a competent Remote IT Technician responsible for providing technical support and resolving issues for both our internal teams and clients entirely from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and address hardware, software, and networking problems remotely.
- Deliver technical assistance via chat, email, and video conferencing.
- Install, set up, and update necessary software and system tools.
- Support system monitoring, perform routine maintenance, and execute performance evaluations.
- Guide users through step-by-step troubleshooting with clear instructions.
- Keep detailed records of issues encountered, solutions implemented, and system modifications.
- Follow security standards strictly and escalate complex issues appropriately.
Qualifications and Skills
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Experience in IT support or helpdesk roles is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking basics, and widely-used software applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving capabilities and communication skills.
- Familiarity with remote assistance utilities and ticket management platforms.
- Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and resolve issues swiftly in a remote environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to systematic troubleshooting procedures.
