Role Overview
We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to spearhead our expansion throughout the Central US. This position is pivotal in strengthening our presence with major electric utilities, including Investor-Owned Utilities and leading Cooperative and Municipal entities. Acting as the main representative for envelio in your region, you will be responsible for nurturing partnerships, steering the entire sales process, and advocating for our innovative grid digitalization technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and carry out a territory-specific sales strategy that supports company growth targets.
- Identify, research, and prioritize target accounts using industry knowledge and market analytics.
- Lead the sales cycle from initial prospecting through negotiations and contract finalization.
- Utilize Salesforce and other platforms to maintain up-to-date records of leads, opportunities, and forecasting data.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Solution Engineering to deliver compelling campaigns and technical proposals.
- Construct comprehensive account plans for major opportunities, ensuring ongoing customer success.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and client meetings (travel may reach 50%).
Candidate Profile
- 5–7+ years’ experience in sales, ideally within the electric utility or energy technology sectors; SaaS background is a plus.
- Existing residency within the Central Time Zone (CT) is required.
- Track record of successful sales to large US utilities (including IOUs, Cooperatives, and Municipal providers).
- Proficiency in managing sales pipelines and generating accurate forecasts.
- Demonstrated achievement of or surpassing sales quotas.
- Ability to independently devise and implement robust territory sales plans.
- Previous experience in a startup or small company, demonstrating resourcefulness and autonomy.

- Base salary between $100,000 and $150,000 USD, with On-Target Earnings potential exceeding $300,000 based on performance.
