Job Responsibilities
- Oversee full Profit & Loss for the designated region, ensuring strategic growth and profitability.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the GSM business suite and Airtel Money services to identify and realize new market opportunities.
- Serve as the primary liaison representing Airtel Tanzania within the region, managing key stakeholder relationships.
- Set challenging objectives and deliver results through collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder influence while balancing strategic vision and operational detail.
- Champion a customer-first approach by understanding client needs, assessing service levels, and ensuring team focus on customer satisfaction.
- Manage a broad portfolio spanning marketing, sales, emerging markets, technology, safety, and human resources across the region.
- Adapt to a dynamic environment by promoting curiosity, continuous learning, innovative thinking, and proactive problem-solving.
- Develop and maintain a competitive presence within the regional market through in-depth commercial acumen.
- Provide strong leadership to teams, including virtual groups, by motivating, influencing, and fostering high performance.
- Build and sustain robust network connections both internally and throughout the telecommunications industry.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration to drive business success.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, simplifying complex information and keeping all stakeholders informed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate degree in business, sales, marketing, or similar fields; an MBA is considered a bonus.
- 7-8 years of progressive experience in marketing, commercial roles, or strategy development.
- Expertise in mobile telecommunications or related sectors, with strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Dedicated to customer-centric and solution-driven approaches.
- Proven track record as a change leader.
- In-depth understanding of network operations, sales and distribution channels, and business management within a commercial setting.
