Position Overview

The Recreation Attendant role at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara is designed for individuals who thrive in engaging guests with personalized, local hospitality. This position caters to guests utilizing recreational facilities and emphasizes a superior luxury service standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact proactively with guests to fulfill their needs such as distributing towels, setting up chaise lounges and cabanas.
• Regularly collect used towels and clear debris across pool deck areas throughout operating hours.
• Create memorable experiences for guests through attentive and warm service in a high-end, fast-paced environment.
• Ensure the pool area always makes a positive impression by maintaining cleanliness, appropriate setup, and ambiance.
• Possess thorough knowledge of all wellness and recreation amenities, activities, and other hotel services.
• Promote and upsell wellness and recreational options to boost revenue opportunities.
• Perform assigned side duties during opening and closing and arrange the pool area according to established standards.
• Remain knowledgeable about hotel fire, life safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain personal grooming and hygiene at impeccable levels.
• Execute additional duties as directed by hotel management.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a recreation attendant role.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic understanding of recreational equipment and associated facilities.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with first aid and emergency response procedures.
• Capability to undertake any tasks assigned by the department manager.
