About the Role
Shannon Valley Group, a prominent civil engineering and site demolition contractor in Ireland, is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor for its Dublin team. This role encompasses comprehensive Quantity Surveying tasks for both pre-contract and post-contract phases across diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing subcontractor and materials procurement including issuing tender packages and negotiating tender or specialist packages.
- Regular monitoring of project expenses and coordinating with Contracts Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to settle variations.
- Performing quantity take-offs and contract administration duties.
- Overseeing material approvals and preparing monthly contract cost reports.
- Compiling payment claim applications timely and accurately.
Requirements
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent qualification.
- At least two years of Quantity Surveyor experience handling medium to large scale projects in sectors such as civil engineering, residential, commercial, or groundworks.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well within a team, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills with emphasis on advanced Excel capabilities.
- Valid driving licence is mandatory.
