Position Overview
We are seeking a diligent Quality Auditor for our 2nd shift team in Pioneer, OH. This individual will play a vital role in assuring the quality of stamped parts by conducting routine and final inspections during manufacturing processes. The Quality Auditor will also contribute to the effectiveness of the Sorting Department, ensuring all products meet internal and customer quality standards. Candidates must be available to work assigned hours Monday through Friday from 1:45pm to 10:00pm, with overtime required as needed (including weekends and some holidays).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular in-process inspections at stamping presses utilizing measurement tools (such as micrometers, calipers, pin gages, and attribute gages).
- Assess parts for dimensional accuracy and visual compliance according to control plans and quality alerts.
- Document test results and promptly communicate any non-conformance to relevant teams.
- Assist the Sort Department in identifying and managing non-compliant products.
- Participate in containment actions, reinspection, and rework tasks to uphold quality requirements.
- Maintain orderly inspection and sorting spaces; ensure all sorted materials are properly labeled, packaged, and traceable.
- Work collaboratively with press operators, quality staff, and supervisors to foster a robust quality culture.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- At least one year of experience in manufacturing or metal stamping is preferred but not essential.
- Hands-on experience with fundamental measurement tools and gages.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and part drawings is considered a plus.
- Keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Confident working both independently and collaboratively.
- Basic abilities with computers and data entry.
