Role overview
Millennium Hotel Doha is looking for a Public Area Cleaner to keep restaurant and guest-facing spaces spotless, safe, and presentable throughout operating hours. The role involves working under supervisor direction and following hotel and restaurant procedures at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Keep all restaurant public areas clean before service starts, during business hours, and after closing.
- Carry out sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing of floor surfaces.
- Maintain the cleanliness of entrances, waiting zones, and reception spaces.
- Disinfect tables, chairs, high chairs, and other surfaces that guests frequently touch whenever needed.
- Remove waste from bins and fit fresh liners as part of routine upkeep.
- Clean glass doors, windows, mirrors, and display fixtures.
- Dust and shine furniture, fittings, and decorative items.
- Restock cleaning materials and amenities used in restrooms.
- Keep service counters and beverage stations tidy and sanitary.
- Deal with spills quickly to reduce slip and safety risks.
- Escalate equipment damage, maintenance concerns, and safety hazards to the supervisor without delay.
- Work in line with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements.
- Handle cleaning products and equipment carefully and according to safety rules.
- Support deep-cleaning plans and other special cleaning assignments.
- Help create a clean, welcoming, and hygienic atmosphere for guests during service.
- Assist the restaurant team with cleanliness-related needs during peak periods.
- Follow the company’s environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
- Complete any other cleaning-related task assigned by the Restaurant Manager or Supervisor.
