About the Company
D2 Process delivers comprehensive professional engineering services for new and retrofit projects across New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, primarily focusing on the food and beverage sector. They provide full lifecycle project support, from conceptualization through to commissioning, working closely with clients to enhance processing efficiency, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
Role Overview
This full-time, on-site Project Manager position is based in the newly established Christchurch office. The role involves complete oversight of project execution, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget monitoring for new builds and retrofits within food and beverage, industrial, pharmaceutical, and wastewater sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project schedules ensuring timely progress and alignment with goals.
- Coordinate activities among engineering, procurement, and construction teams effectively.
- Track project budgets and resource deployment efficiently.
- Monitor project status, anticipate risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Act as a liaison with clients and internal teams to maintain clear communication.
- Prepare comprehensive status reports to inform stakeholders.
- Support material expediting, logistics coordination, and inspection procedures to meet deadlines.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven project management experience handling complex industrial or process-related projects in hygiene-controlled environments.
- Expertise in expediting to maintain project material schedules.
- Competency in managing inspection processes ensuring quality and compliance documentation.
- Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, operations, or related disciplines.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritize deliverables, and meet tight deadlines in dynamic settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- Mandatory prior experience in food and beverage sector projects.
