Role overview
City Palace Museum, Jaipur is hiring a Project Lead for the Jaipur 300 initiative, a city-wide celebration marking 300 years since Jaipur’s founding. This is a multi-disciplinary effort spanning cultural programming, exhibitions, public events, heritage-focused initiatives, publications, and broader community engagement across the city. The person in this role will help shape, coordinate, and deliver selected projects from start to finish.
What the role involves
The Project Lead will oversee end-to-end management of assigned Jaipur 300 projects. The work calls for careful planning, budget control, strong coordination, and effective handling of stakeholders across cultural, heritage, government, and creative sectors.
- Prepare and run project plans, schedules, and budgets for Jaipur 300 initiatives.
- Work closely with internal teams, consultants, designers, historians, artists, event agencies, and government representatives.
- Monitor progress against milestones and keep delivery on schedule.
- Maintain project records, status updates, and review documentation, and participate in review meetings.
- Spot project risks early and put practical mitigation measures in place.
- Support the wider programme across exhibitions, events, installations, publications, and other cultural activities.
- Ensure outputs meet the celebration’s vision, quality expectations, and timelines.
Qualifications and experience
Candidates should hold a master’s degree in Management, Event Management, Heritage Management, Architecture, Design, Liberal Arts, or a closely related discipline. The organisation is looking for someone with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in project management, large events, cultural programming, exhibitions, or heritage-related work.
