Project Director - Facility Management

Overview

The Project Director will hold primary accountability for nurturing and managing the client relationship within the Facilities Management sector across the Middle East. This role includes identifying growth opportunities beyond service silos, leading win work initiatives, resolving client disputes, and serving as the central liaison between the client and AtkinsRéalis. Additionally, the director will be responsible for ensuring client account performance meets targets across revenue, EBIT, and Net Promoter Score (NPS) as established in the annual Market goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain robust business relationships, acting as the single communication point and coordinating internal plans to foster client connections at multiple organizational layers.
• Account & Strategy Oversight: Drive account growth and financial performance in alignment with business plans, including profit and loss targets.
• Client Feedback Management: Systematically gather client perception and project feedback to enhance satisfaction and support NPS objectives.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities within Facilities Management to broaden service offerings and promote cross-selling within the company.
• Bid Management: Lead or support bid processes, maintaining a win rate exceeding 30%, and handle bid budgets and specialist engagement.
• Resource Planning: Collaborate with Market Director and capabilities teams on skills forecasting and strategic resource planning.
• Leadership & Culture: Exhibit and foster values of accountability, inclusion, collaboration, and integrity, with performance measured via team feedback tools.
• Nationalisation & Compliance: Meet mandated Nationalisation quotas to maintain business continuity and local value contributions.
• Operational Management: Manage client projects ensuring contractual conformity, commercial performance, and timely conflict resolution.
• Market Intelligence: Advise on market risks and trends derived from client interactions to shape company capabilities and risk mitigation strategies.
• Development & Mentorship: Inspire and develop team members, lead succession planning, oversee performance reviews, and propagate lessons learnt across projects.
• Digital Transformation: Facilitate integration of digital solutions into service lines to enhance value propositions.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, win work teams, and peers for coherent client management and communication efforts.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive client-facing experience with a focus on relationship and account management in the Middle East.
• Demonstrated ability in P&L management and sound commercial judgement.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Competence managing complex commercial and contractual aspects of client accounts.
• Proven ability to lead fee proposals ensuring profitability and competitiveness.
• Leadership in marketing and business development initiatives.
• Experience mentoring high-potential talent.
• Solid background in Facilities Management, preferably with prior client engagement.
• Engineering degree with a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Arabic language.
