Position Overview

The Production Soil Operator works collaboratively within an industrial laundry facility, responsible for the efficient, safe, and precise handling of laundry merchandise entering and leaving the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare the required number of daily slings or carts/carriers for washing processes.
• Confirm merchandise types and quantities per PUC cards and organize similar items together in slings.
• Count and document any damaged or ruined merchandise on the PUC cards.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to production best practices.
• Perform additional tasks as delegated.

Qualifications and Skills

• Capability to comprehend training materials and both written and verbal instructions.
• Basic proficiency in mathematics.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function both autonomously and collaboratively.
• Consistent adherence to attendance requirements.

Work Environment and Safety

• Work occurs in warehouse conditions exposed to varying weather, including extreme temperatures, dust, and noise.
• Shift work schedule including possible weekends and mandatory overtime as necessary.

Physical Demands

• Capable of maneuvering slings or carriers weighing up to 220 lbs.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, reaching, pulling, and pressing motions at shoulder and below waist levels.
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing and walking.
• Use of hands for gripping and manipulation tasks.

Educational Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
