Product Owner

Role Overview

This opportunity is presented by a partner company seeking a Product Owner based in Germany. The position offers the chance to design and direct compelling digital products within an innovative and fast-moving iGaming sector. The Product Owner will convert business priorities into well-defined product goals and actionable tasks for development teams, collaborating across departments such as Product, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Design, and business units to deliver valuable digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clear definitions of user stories, requirements, and development tasks.
• Convert business needs into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed tickets suitable for engineering.
• Recognize risks, dependencies, and potential enhancements to ensure smooth project execution and maximize product value.
• Analyze product challenges by examining user behavior and performance metrics to propose improvements.
• Validate requirements, question assumptions, and weigh trade-offs prior to development initiation.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, QA specialists, Designers, and stakeholders to align product priorities and deliver high-quality features.
• Assist with QA by verifying that delivered solutions meet product expectations and business standards.
• Drive ongoing product development by identifying areas for optimization and innovation.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product role, preferably in the iGaming sector.
• Demonstrated experience working within Agile teams and product delivery frameworks.
• Strong ability to translate business concepts into precise user stories, acceptance criteria, and development documentation.
• Analytical mindset coupled with curiosity about user needs and identifying opportunities to enhance the product.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration, challenging assumptions, and influencing stakeholders.
• Proactive ownership attitude with the capability to independently solve problems and push initiatives forward.
• Proficiency with product management tools like Jira and Confluence or equivalent platforms.
• Experience analyzing product performance and user behavior is advantageous.
• Familiarity with tools such as FullStory, Business Intelligence dashboards, product analytics, or experimentation frameworks (e.g., A/B testing) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle and engineering processes is beneficial.
• Relevant Agile certifications (CSPO, SAFe Product Owner, or similar) are considered an asset.
