Product Designer

Overview

Join Output Sports as a Product Designer to contribute to the creation of intuitive and aesthetically compelling digital products focused on presenting complex sports performance data. Collaborate closely with one designer and the Head of Product to design a seamless experience across mobile and web platforms, transforming sophisticated data into accessible insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop visually engaging and clear displays of intricate performance metrics including charts, dashboards, and trend analyses for both mobile and web applications.
• Continuously improve information presentation by minimizing complexity and clutter, enhancing user comprehension while maintaining depth of content.
• Partner with sports scientists, coaches, and athletes to gather user insights, validate design choices, and iterate designs rapidly based on real-world feedback.
• Contribute to and manage the company’s design system to ensure consistent, high-quality user interfaces across platforms.

Candidate Profile

We welcome applicants who may not meet all criteria as the role or position might be adaptable to your strengths.

• Presents 3 to 5 years of experience in product design with a portfolio demonstrating strong user experience and user interface capabilities.
• Has proven background in designing consumer-facing products, especially those handling data-centric content like dashboards and analytics tools.
• Proficient in Figma for design creation, interactive prototyping, and handoff processes.
• Familiar with AI-enhanced prototyping tools such as Claude or Figma Make, fostering rapid design iteration.

Essential Skills

• Deep passion for high-quality design, balancing visual appeal with functional excellence.
• Ability to simplify complex data into elegant and understandable user interfaces, focusing on data visualization and insight clarity.
• A growth mindset with enthusiasm for adopting AI tools that advance design practices.
• Experience in developing or maintaining design systems that promote UI consistency.
• Interest in sports science, athlete performance, or health and fitness is advantageous but not mandatory.
