About the Role
Join an innovative healthcare organization dedicated to transforming lives and advancing medical care. As a Procurement Specialist based in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland, you will play a vital role supporting the indirect procurement team across Europe. This role encompasses both strategic and operational responsibilities focused on ensuring value through supplier relationship management and efficient procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute purchase order creation using Oracle R12 ERP, placing orders with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery of consumables and indirect goods or services.
- Develop and refine sourcing strategies to maintain a steady supply of quality products and competitively priced services.
- Oversee management of the European leased car fleet, coordinating with site assistants, HR, and leasing companies to optimize fleet efficiency, compliance, and modernization opportunities.
- Handle supplier relationships for office building services in St Priest and engage with internal teams for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives and enhance indirect procurement tactical processes.
- Resolve supplier-related issues through effective communication and partnership with suppliers, internal customers, and accounts payable.
- Support users of the iProcurement system and manage invoicing issues by monitoring status and updating on-hold lists as needed.
- Complete all required Compliance Learning Assignments as per company policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, materials management, operations management, purchasing, engineering, business administration, finance, or a related discipline; or equivalent professional experience in a procurement role.
- At least three years of purchasing experience in industrial sectors, preferably within medical device or pharmaceutical industries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of Oracle R12 ERP system.
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities along with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English.
