Job description
About the Role
FBS is looking to hire an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee the complete procurement process for our interior fit-out, finishing, and construction projects in Riyadh. Reporting directly to the Projects' Execution Director, this role is key to managing the sourcing and procurement of materials, subcontractors, and packages ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with specifications. The position also involves leading a team including a Senior Procurement Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement procurement strategies tailored to project contracts, budgets, and execution plans.
- Manage procurement of critical fit-out packages such as joinery, marble and stone, flooring, wall coverings, lighting, FF&E, and MEP components.
- Handle subcontractor qualification, tendering, thorough technical and commercial assessments, and contract finalization.
- Oversee material submittals, sample approvals, and mock-ups coordination with clients and consultants.
- Track budget performance, spearhead value engineering efforts, and coordinate variations and claims with quantity surveyors.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships, monitor delivery lead times, and supervise the procurement team.
Requirements
- 10 to 15 years of extensive procurement experience with proven leadership capabilities.
- Mandatory prior work history with interior fit-out or finishing contractors in sectors such as hospitality, retail, food & beverage, banking, cinema, or corporate interiors.
- Experience managing both operational procurement and subcontractor contract processes.
- Practical knowledge of FF&E procurement and material/specification approval cycles.
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management is required. Professional certifications like CIPS, CPSM, or PMP are advantageous.
