You will manage day-to-day operations while also building scalable processes that support rapid growth and strong financial control. Acting as a close partner to Finance and other teams, you will help increase spend visibility, enforce compliance, and strengthen budget discipline. The position also includes leading and developing a high-performing team and creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence. It blends strategy with hands-on delivery and is well suited to someone who enjoys bringing structure to fast-moving, high-growth environments.
Key responsibilities
- Guide, coach, and grow the procurement operations team while maintaining performance, engagement, and ongoing skill development.

- Administer procurement systems and tools such as Coupa, Ironclad, and Astra, or similar platforms, to keep workflows running smoothly and support user adoption.
- Work closely with Finance and Accounts Payable to ensure correct purchase order handling, budget oversight, and strong financial controls.
- Build and maintain reporting and analytics for procurement, with visibility into spend, savings, cycle times, and overall performance.
- Lead improvement initiatives that shorten cycle times, remove blockers, and raise operational effectiveness.
- Maintain adherence to procurement policies, audit expectations, and governance requirements, including SOX where applicable.
- Assist with vendor management, procurement transformation efforts, and cross-functional process alignment.
- Encourage strong documentation, training, and stakeholder education so the wider organization better understands procurement processes.
Requirements
- At least 5-7+ years of experience in procurement operations, procurement, or a closely related area.
- At least 1-3+ years in a leadership or people-management capacity, with clear experience coaching and developing team members.
- Hands-on experience with procurement platforms such as Coupa, Ironclad, Astra, or comparable systems.
- Proven ability to design, expand, and improve procurement processes in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong experience partnering with Finance, Legal, IT, and other cross-functional teams.
- Solid analytical capability, including interpreting spend information and turning it into practical recommendations.
- A systems-oriented mindset, with a strong interest in automation and process optimization.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change management abilities.
- Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to lead teams through change and operational pressure.
- English fluency is required for work in a global environment.
Benefits
- Competitive yearly pay between CAD 90,000 and CAD 120,000, depending on experience and location.
