Procurement Executive (Fixed Term Contract)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Executive to join the Head Office in Kolkata on a fixed term contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a diploma or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, or Supply Chain Management and 1 to 5 years of relevant procurement experience. Familiarity with procurement processes and ERP systems such as SAP or Ariba is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure materials required for business operations aligning with company needs.
• Solicit quotations from a variety of suppliers and negotiate pricing structures, payment conditions, and delivery timelines.
• Generate and manage Purchase Orders effectively to ensure smooth procurement flow.
• Collaborate with vendors for timely receipt of goods and maintain productive relationships.
• Assess vendor performance regularly and conduct comparative cost analyses on received quotations.
• Address pending order issues and resolve supply chain challenges promptly.
• Work closely with internal teams including Production, Stores, Finance, and Quality departments to coordinate procurement activities.
• Maintain comprehensive records, documentation, and management information system reports related to procurement.
• Adhere strictly to organizational procurement policies and compliance standards.

• Proven ability in vendor identification, evaluation, and management.
• Strong negotiation and communication capabilities.
• Competency in processing purchase orders and conducting detailed cost assessments.
• Proficient in ERP platforms such as SAP and Ariba, with advanced MS Excel skills.
• Excellent problem-solving aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
