As part of its expansion in North America, Main Capital is building its platform in the US market and looking for committed professionals to contribute to its investment achievements.
Role Overview
The Private Equity Analyst will actively participate throughout the investment process, from identifying and assessing opportunities to supporting transaction execution and portfolio company development. This position involves close collaboration with seasoned investment professionals, providing immersion into all facets of private equity investing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and carry out investment opportunities
- Develop financial models, conduct valuation and returns analysis on potential investments
- Perform financial and operational due diligence
- Draft investment memoranda and other relevant deal documentation
- Assist portfolio companies by monitoring KPIs, supporting M&A strategies, and driving value creation initiatives
- Conduct market and industry research
- Engage actively in sourcing new investment prospects
Candidate Profile
- Located in the Boston area or willing to relocate with a requirement to be onsite five days per week
- Solid academic credentials in finance, business, economics, or related disciplines
- Between 1 to 3 years of investment banking experience focused on mid-market or lower mid-market transactions, or similar transaction advisory roles
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Advanced financial skills including expertise in analysis, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting; a modeling test will be part of the recruitment process
- Strong analytical thinking capabilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in teams and work independently
- Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm to support building Main Capital's US presence alongside senior leadership
